Refund Policy

1. Trial period
Every new subscription includes a 7-day free trial with a valid payment method captured at sign-up. No charge occurs during the trial.
You may cancel the subscription at any time during the trial through the customer portal. Your payment method will not be charged.
2. Initial refund window
If you decide that Bastion Security does not meet your needs after the trial period has ended, we offer a 14-day refund window counted from the first paid invoice. To qualify:
- The Service must not have been used to enforce a decision on a production Plesk Node during the refund window;
- The refund request must be submitted in writing to support@bastion-security.io before the 14-day deadline expires.
Eligible refunds are processed within 7 business days to the original payment method.
3. Recurring billing and cancellation
You may cancel a monthly or annual subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal linked in your purchase receipt.
Cancellation stops further automatic renewals but does not refund the current billing period. Service access remains active until the end of the paid period, after which the license keys are automatically deactivated.
4. Annual plans and pro-rata refunds
Annual subscriptions are billed once at the start of the contract year and renew on the anniversary date. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of an annual plan once the 14-day initial refund window has expired.
Exceptions may be granted at our discretion in cases of documented service unavailability exceeding 14 consecutive days; such cases must be reported to support within 5 business days.
5. Refund processing by Merchant of Record
Bastion Security is sold through Lemon Squeezy, Inc., which acts as Merchant of Record for all transactions. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own terms.
You may submit a refund request either:
- Directly to Lemon Squeezy via the customer portal (see your purchase receipt);
- Or to support@bastion-security.io. We will then coordinate the request with Lemon Squeezy on your behalf.
VAT/sales tax components are refunded only when permitted by applicable tax regulations.
6. Chargebacks
We discourage initiating a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting our support. Chargebacks trigger immediate license deactivation pending resolution and incur processor fees that delay legitimate refund requests.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us first at support@bastion-security.io. We will review and process eligible refunds within 7 business days.
7. Exclusions
No refund is available in the following cases:
- The request is submitted after the 14-day initial refund window has expired (except as provided in §4 above);
- The Service was used to enforce decisions on a production Plesk Node during the refund window;
- Lifetime and one-time purchases (e.g. Bastion Founder Lifetime): these are final and non-refundable beyond the 14-day initial refund window defined in §2 above;
- Termination for breach of the Terms of Service or the EULA;
- Fraudulent purchases or stolen payment methods;
- License keys that have been deactivated for non-payment after the grace period.
